Wedding Stage – Santa Clarita Valley (SCV) Wedding Pros
The Wedding Stage is a bridal event presented by Santa Clarita Valley Wedding Pros so that brides/engaged couples can get more information about the vendors and learn tips and advice on wedding planning. This is a quarterly event but I attended this bridal event for the first time on March 7, 2018. In addition, I was not paid to attend this event so all opinions are my own. Moreover, the event is not free; however, I did not have to pay.
A little recap from the event
I thought this event was a little different from other bridal events because it felt more personal and more educational. In addition to having the usual vendor booths, these wedding professionals also came up on stage and shared their planning advice and tips, which was informative and educational. One of my favorite parts from the event was that rentals vendor and florist vendors have come together to make a few different tables that showcased a variety of tables, chairs, linens as well as floral and non floral centerpieces.
Another great thing is that catering and cake vendors in this group provided appetizers, food, drinks, and wedding cake. In addition, vendors contributed to gift cards/presents for the giveaways to the guests. So I also loved the part when they showcased cutting the wedding cake and afterwards, they actually served the cake to all the guests. This case was made by Jill’s Cake Creations and more on this vendor below.
Lastly, one of the memorable things was when they did a makeover of one of the ladies by doing hair and makeup on her and then she was actually wearing a gorgeous wedding dress.
I wish I knew about this event when I was planning my wedding but now that I have experienced it for myself, I would highly recommend it to all engaged couples. I loved this event because you could tell vendors worked together and each contributed a lot to make this event a successful one. In addition, it was really nice of the vendors to share valuable tips and advice on wedding planning.
So below you will see the vendors that were at the event. In addition, links to their websites are included in case you want to learn more about them.
Vendors – Santa Clarita Wedding Pros – Wedding Stage
Santa Clarita Valley Wedding Pros
SCV Wedding Pros | It’s a group of talented wedding vendors that have come together to showcase their services and advice/tips to couples via a bridal event such as the Wedding Stage.
Valencia Country Club
The host venue of the Wedding Stage is Valencia Country Club, which is also a member of SCV Wedding Pros. In addition, if you’d like to learn more about the venue, I have written a post about them here. Here are some photos of their booth and appetizers provided by catering.
BIO – By Invitation Only – Fine Social Paper
In regards to invitations, one of the tips/advice was to not include registry info anywhere on the invitations so if you have a registry, that information needs to go on the website or save the dates. Here is their website – Fine Social Paper.
Perfect Day Perfect Look
One of the tips/advice was that your hair and makeup person should definitely have a contract and if they don’t that is not good because it does not protect you or them. In addition, they must be on time because if they are not, that delays your whole day. Moreover, make sure your hair stylist attaches your veil well because it can easily fly away if not attached properly. Here is their website – Perfect Day Perfect Look.
Here is their website – Cruz’s Bridal. They brought two dresses to the event – both the same style and just different colors. So one was on display and one was on the lady that got a makeover – see above for the photos.
I touched their tuxedos and the quality is really nice. Their rentals can be less than $200 and need to be picked up one or two days before the event so that you can try it on to make sure everything fits right. In addition, anyone can return the rental after the event since they know bride/groom can be unavailable due to honeymoon. Here is their yelp page – Tuxedo Revue.
Antelope Valley Wedding Officiant – Amber Olsen
Here is her website – AV Officiant. I spoke to her briefly and thought she was really nice.
R and R Creative Photography
So the photographer mentioned a few useful and informative tips/advice. He said to make sure you look at the whole album/gallery of the wedding from start to finish and not just the best photos so you can see what to expect on the day of. In addition, you want someone very responsible in case their equipment stops working on the day of, they would have a backup equipment and if on the way to the wedding, there is an accident, they will have a backup photographer as well. Here is their website – R and R Photography.
Videographer mentioned the importance of having a wedding video and it’s that you will always be able to relive your special day via video that has sound since photos don’t have the sound. Here is their website – Matrimony Films.
Both florists mentioned how when it’s off-season, flowers can get really pricey. In addition, they said that for centerpieces, you don’t have to go out and buy the vases and stuff because florists have all that and can easily rent them to you. In addition, both florists provided the flowers and centerpieces for each table so that guests can get inspirational ideas for their own wedding to see what goes with what and how it looks.

AV Party Rentals
This vendor provided all of the tables, chairs, linens, etc. for guests to see the different variety that is available for rent as well as to get inspirational ideas for how to set up tables and centerpieces. In addition, one of their tips/advice is to make sure when you are looking for a rental company, you can actually see their supplies and that they are not just on the photos. Here is their website – AV Party Rentals.
Here is their website – StoneFire Grill. Their food is yummy.
Jill’s Cake Creations
One of the tips/advice is that wedding cakes are worth it for sure because it is not every day that you will get a wedding cake. In addition, you can either save your top-tier or have the baker remake it for your one year wedding anniversary. I’ve tried the cake they served at the event and it was delicious. Here is their website – Jill’s Cake Creations.
By the way, my sister-in-law had her wedding cake done by Jill’s Cake Creations and it was yummy too. Here is the link to her wedding so you can see the cake – Nayeli and Mike.
