DowntheAisle Wedding Showcase 2018 at Hilton Woodland Hills in CA
February 25, 2018 was DowntheAisle Wedding Showcase at Hilton Woodland Hills. So Down the Aisle LA wedding showcase producer was Dazzle Event Productions. I went to this bridal event so that you could see what to expect at an event like this. In addition, I wanted to meet all of the talented wedding vendors so that you could also see their work.
This event required a ticket purchase but it was inexpensive plus they had a discount online. I was able to attend without a ticket due to my blog; however, I did pay for self parking at the hotel parking structure. Hilton Woodland Hills was the venue for DowntheAisle Wedding Showcase.
FYI – so that you are aware, I was not paid to attend this event by anyone and all opinions are my own.
So the featured video in this post is for the fashion show that they put together. In addition, it was my very first fashion show and I thought it was nice; however, I don’t really have anything to compare to but wish they had more dresses to show.
Vendor selection was good. Moreover, I liked how majority of the vendors were really friendly and came prepared to show off their work by having a nice booth display.
Vendors at DowntheAisle Wedding Showcase:
Emma and Josh Photography. This is a husband and wife photographers team and I featured their work on this blog before I met them. So I must say it was nice to meet them in person and see their booth and work. You can see their beautiful photos I featured here on my blog in this real wedding for inspiration.
Donald Norris Photography. Don was a pleasure to talk to and it was so nice of him to offer some advice for couples currently looking for a photographer and also for the day of the wedding. His advice on picking a photographer is to take a look at the photos they have taken at night of the wedding since not a lot of photographers do a good job with flash at night. So if you like how the photographer shoots at night then take a look at the whole wedding that was photographed so you can see what to expect. Now his advice for the day of the wedding is to make sure you have drink or eat something quick (energy drink or some sweet bar) right after the wedding ceremony so that you have energy for all of the professional photos that come right after.
Kristine Coe Florals. So Kristine is actually a former bride like me and also now in the wedding industry business. She has always loved flowers and now does what she loves even though before she was working in the insurance industry full time. In addition, it was really nice to meet her and talk to her and I thought her work was beautiful.
Wedding Planning and Floral Design:
Bridezilla Events. Gabriela is very nice and it was really nice to meet her. In addition, I loved her display booth because of the amazing hoops as can be seen below.
Kabe Magnolia Events. They provide a full service event planning. Great booth set up.
Hair and Makeup:
Mirror Me Photo Booth LA. This one was pretty cool because it was a touch screen mirror with lots of options to take a photo and write on it or put emoji.
Hilton Woodland Hills. I’ve tried some of their food and it’s delicious.
Cielo Catering and Events. I’ve tried some of their food and it’s yummy.
Pastry Girl Susan Scott. I’ve tried some of it and it’s mouthwatering.
Mad Hatters’ Custom Catering. I’ve tried some of it and it’s tasty.
Music and DJs:
Christien Anthony Music. This live band’s performance was amazing! So I really Loved it and think they would do an amazing job at a wedding.
Borrowed Vintage Rentals. It’s run by two lovely ladies and it was really nice to meet them. Moreover, they had a gorgeous display of their work as can be seen in the photos below.
Charming Lights. Marquee Sign Charms. It was a pleasure to meet Karen and I loved her display. It’s a great idea to be able to rent out big marquee signs and games for your wedding.
Mobile Illumination. So you can have them set up your lights at the wedding, which is a great idea for some venues that might not have cool lights.
Great Officiants. In case you are looking for an officiant, this company has both religious and non religious officiants. They actually did a fake ceremony to show off their work after the fashion show and it was really cool to see.
Ron Tomson. Can’t forget about the guys 😉 This place sells suits and tuxedos for men so their menswear was also featured during the fashion show in the featured video on this post. In addition, David’s Bridal showcased their wedding dresses during the fashion show.
Create and Impress. So this company creates personalized gifts for various events not just weddings and they do have some cool products as you can see below. In addition, their display booth was beautiful and it was nice to meet Erin from Create and Impress.
Video Memory Books by Beyond Gravity Media. I have never seen something like this before this DowntheAisle wedding showcase event so it was nice to learn of another cool way to preserve your wedding memories via video memory books instead of just photo books. So these video books are very thin and can hold both photos and videos, which you can easily add to the book yourself. Seeing this product made me want to get one for our wedding as another wedding keepsake. Moreover, I think it’s a great gift idea also for people that want to give it to married couples.
So I hope this little summary recap about DowntheAisle wedding showcase was helpful to you. If you have any comments or questions then please leave them down in the comments section below.
