Holly-Mason Wedding at Cross Lanes Baptist Church, Charleston, WV
Ashton Kelley Photography, with the help of a second shooter Rockwell Lake Photography, beautifully captured Holly-Mason Wedding at Cross Lanes Baptist Church. Holly and Mason perfectly incorporated their wedding colors into every aspect of their wedding from the beautiful flowers, cake, details, decorations to amazing bridesmaids’ dresses. In addition, Holly and her dress looked gorgeous with lovely lace detail. It’s also beautiful how bridesmaids were carrying flower hoops/floral wreaths instead of bouquets and how the hoops/wreaths were incorporated into decor as well. Moreover, it was so nice to see in the photos their cutest doggo.
Event Date was August 12, 2017. So please take a look at Holly-Mason wedding as told through the beautiful photos and bride’s story below. In addition, leave a note in the comments if you enjoyed looking at these wedding photos and found some inspiration.
Congratulations to Holly and Mason!
From the bride:
I met Mason’s sister in high school, and we met via Molly! We were acquaintances for years then really connected last spring! We attended church at the Clay Center before Mason’s church had moved to the new building where we’re having the reception.
After church, he told me we had to go to the building to pick up a check from his dad. When we got there, his sister was in the lobby (even though her car was parked behind the building along with the other church members’ 😉 ). She gave a list to Mason and asked if it was everything they needed for the work party that night that they were holding every Sunday to move into the new space.
As we walked into the main room, he began to read “Baseboards for the upstairs classroom, Meet the girl, ‘Well we already did that’, Fall in love, ‘Did that too’, Buy the ring, ‘Got it’, Ask her parents, ‘Done it’, and Ask the Question!! In the midst of all this, I turn around to see his entire church on the stairs and balcony overlooking the room. After asking me to marry him, they released our puppy, and we had cake! Doggo Dre even had some too 😉

I’m doing it a little different today on #fridayintroductions! I want to share a few tips, rather than tidbits about myself. Without further ado… 💗 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD SAY YES TO THE ENGAGEMENT SESSION. 🤩 1. You get to use it as one more way to CELEBRATE your engagement. It’s a short period, so soak up every chance you get. Treat it like a date night and have fun! 2. This is a perfect opportunity to CONNECT with your photographer. It’s a no-stress scenario where you can get to know one another better and learn about your photographer’s shooting style! 3. May I present great time to schedule a trial run on your make-up? Get a vibe for what it will look like on camera with time to make edits if you wish. 4. Use your favorite photos on save-the-dates! This is a fun way to get your friends and family excited about your big day. For a destination wedding, you want to send these about eight months in advance. For a local wedding, you can wait until about four months before the event. 5. Mine are COMPLIMENTARY! Each of my couples receives an engagement session as a gift for booking with me, meaning it’s absolutely FREE. So, really, what’s to lose? 🎉 If you enjoyed these tips as a planning couple or a growing photographer, like this post and leave a comment below! I’d love to hear about what topics you would like to see featured in the future! 📷 #akpbehindthescenes #akpbrandedboss @jhuntphotos
