About the couple: Trinda-Jonny Engagement-Watsontown
How did he|she grab your attention?
Her- He was such a sweetheart. He was always up to do anything, and would make plans with me last minute. We went on an ice cream date just about every week and he never once let me pay or drive. He’s a gentlemen and I’m a very lucky girl.
Him- She caught my eye in high school but I didn’t do anything about it then. She has the kindest heart and the most beautiful eyes, there’s nothing not to love. Her voice is always so nice and soothing and her kind personality really pulled me in and brought us closer together. She’s beautiful, the most beautiful girl I’ve met, but what really caught my attention was her heart. She’s so caring, loving and sweet and innocent. Everything about her pulled me in.
When did you first meet?
We went to high school together. We had a few mutual friends so we were around each other at times but we never got together or even thought about it.
After Trinda graduated college, we really hit it off. Our friends are all friends so we were around each other alot at the beginning. When it wasn’t just the two of us hanging out, it was us and the rest of our friend group. We got so close in such a short amount of time and became inseparable.
Our first date was to go get ice cream. It was on father’s day and Jonny surprised me, a lot. We were just messaging back and forth and he said “I want ice cream,” to which I obviously replied “me too!” He said “I’ll be there soon,” and the next thing I know he was in my driveway in his big truck. We went to the freeze and I remember him sending snapchats of us to our friends and then all of them messaging me and asking if we were on a date. I think at that moment we both knew that it was so much more than what we planned.
When and where was your first kiss (with one another)?
We started really talking and dating over the summer, so naturally all of our friends were home from college and we were out on the town an insane amount of weekends.I had just graduated from college so I just wanted to go out and have fun and he was always right by my side. I don’t remember much from that night but we can both remember the first kiss. (lol) We were at the brickyard restaurant in Williamsport.
We were sitting outside by ourselves just talking about how crazy it was that we finally got together after going to the same high school together and living in the same area since forever. He told me he wanted to kiss me and at that moment I got so shy and wouldn’t let him for the longest time. After a few minutes of going back and forth about how I really did want him to but I was too scared to, it happened.
Describe the one trait that you love about each other.
Her- he is the most caring, and selfless person. He gives without wanting anything in return. He loves his mom and the rest of his family. He wants the same things out of life that I do and we just fit each other perfectly. It’s weird finding your other half. You know from the beginning that they are yours and you are theirs and it’s meant to be. Life finally starts to make sense and with this person by your side, everything becomes easier. The world is at ease knowing you are together.
Him- There are too many things to write. I love what we have. I love our little family. I love the way she looks at me. I love her because she is just Trinda, she doesn’t try to be anyone else. I love the connection we share and how easy it was from day one. I love her beautiful eyes and her soft voice. I love that everyday she works to better herself and our future together. I love that I know that no matter what happens, she will always be there. I love her.
How long have you both been together?
Jonny doesn’t know it, but I fell for him from day one which was in June. He’s sweet and easy to talk to. We didn’t start “officially dating” until September so we will be “together” a year when we get married. When you know, you know.
Who said “I love you” first?
He did, but it wasn’t hard to say it back. I knew for a long time before he said it out loud that he did and that I did too.
How did he | She propose?
He was supposed to be in Ohio. One of his groomsmen, Joey, invited him up for the weekend and he left on a Friday night.
We talked about marriage and life together for a while and he knew what my goals were before we took any of those steps. A few weeks before we got engaged, we moved in together and life was perfect. And then March 10th came.
One of my bridesmaids, Taylor, took me out for the day. She’s getting married a month before me 🙂 so we went to look at bridesmaids dresses for her and made a day out of it. We went shopping, got our nails done and of course had to stop and get something to eat.
We went to the rusty rail in Mifflinburg. Taylor does this thing where she takes a thousand pictures on my phone and then wants to send them to herself after, so when she took my phone on the way out I didn’t think anything of it. We got to the front doors and I saw him outside. He was standing there, with a puppy in hand and I was just so excited to see him. We are NEVER apart. I dreaded that weekend for a while because I wasn’t ready to be without him yet. We are so close and so intimate and it was hard but when I saw him my heart just did a little “!!!”
I ran up to him and he got down on one knee and asked me and I don’t know how I could have said no. The video speaks for itself.
Who is the most nervous for the Big Day?
I don’t think either of us are nervous. We are so excited and can’t wait for the day to come. We planned the wedding to be as close as it is because we both really cannot wait. I guess we are nervous and excited to see how everything works out and gets pulled all together. We are so very ready to share the same last name.
