From Sara Rieth Photography:
Nothing can beat an engagement session in the springtime. With the tulips in full bloom, the sun-kissed down on the happy couple filling them with warmth and love.
Sarah and Ben have such kind and genuine hearts. As we got to know one another during the session, it was apparent why these two fell in love and are head over heels for each other. When Ben reaches for Sarah’s hand, she reaches for his arm and pulls him in close. They also make one another laugh so easily and light up when they are looking towards each other.

When I was young, I hated art. My mom would have us do art projects every month and I always thought that mine looked hideous. I remember conversations of me crying and saying, "I am not an artist. I shouldn't have to do this when it doesn't come naturally to me!" 🎨 In 6th grade, my mom started teaching me Creative Writing. I would sit there in frustration, staring blankly at the prompts thinking to myself that I would never write books or stories or Haikus (Oh my goodness, Haikus were so hard for me!) 📝 I had dreams of becoming a Political Analyst from the time I was 11. I would turn on the radio to talk radio and would listen intently studying rhetorics & callers. 📻 In no way did I see myself becoming an artist. My mom would just sit there and laugh while she said, "Sara, you don't even look at your dance moves in a mirror when you create them. I don't know how you do it. But dance is a form of art. It comes naturally to you. You are an artist, you just don't know it yet." 🍭 I would fight with my mom and dad, tooth and nail, in denial of my artistic abilities saying that dance came naturally to me and didn't make me an artist. They would just smile and nod. 💃 Looking back at the 10 years ago me… I was 16 years old and my dance company had just taken Nationals Overall Highest Score with a dance I had created. I didn't see myself as an artist. 🎼 Today, I'm told over and over again how much of an artist I am. That 16 year old girl would have denied it saying that dance was just who I was and nothing more. But the today me knows that my parents (especially my mom) saw something artistic in me that I never saw. She pushed me in Creative Writing (which I love now, obviously ) and kept at me on trying new forms of art. Dad bought me my first DSLR camera and told me that I wouldn't have to pay him back for it if I made something out of it. 🎥 I don't think my parents could have foreseen where art would end up taking me. I definitely made something of it. And now, I love sharing my work with all of you each day because every short story or sweet phrase is attached to a picture I created. That's a pretty neat feeling to have. ❤️
