Maggie and Bruce are outdoor people. They love walking on the Cahaba river with their dogs and hiking. Both are also big into Soccer with Bruce being one of the coaches at a local university. When planning their engagement session, Maggie and Bruce had a vision of getting dressed up and standing on the overlook of Ruffner Mountain with the Birmingham Skyline behind them. They brought lots of details that were personalized to them as well as a sparkly dress from Rent the Runway for her and a suit and bowtie for him . . these two definitely don’t do anything halfway!
A few days before the shoot Maggie shared that she had injured her knee in a soccer game but despite that injury she still hiked the mountain and rocked her engagement session. To say I was impressed was an understatement
We loved how thoughtful they were with the items they brought with them, including the custom book Bruce had made to propose to Maggie with. He completely surprised Maggie while they were walking the Cahaba River with their dogs Shae and Gus when he handed her a custom book that read “will you marry me?” on the inside with a space for her aunts heirloom ring to go.
We can’t wait for their New Year’s Eve wedding where we know there will be lots of fun, laugher and of course the most epic music ever!
