Album Story – Linh-Kyle Philadelphia Engagement Photos 

Linh and Kyle met in the summer of 2012 both interns at the same prominent financial firm.  Once the summer was over, Kyle returned to Penn State University to finish off his last semester and Linh returned to Temple University.  The following year, the two received full time offers from the same financial firm which is what rekindled their friendship.

From that moment on, the couple has been inseparable. From an early stage, the two have had deep and meaningful conversations and through ups and downs, trials and tribulations, the two have maintained a steadfast, tender, and playful relationship. Linh took a job in the UK and Kyle uprooted himself with no UK phone, UK bank account or any real plan apart from jumping into this new adventure together. It was not easy to set up a new life in London and there were disagreements and many arguments. That being said, the couple never went to bed mad at each other and always respected each other as equals in the relationship.  As Kyle summed it up, “At the end of it I knew without question she was the one, we were still madly in love and life couldn’t throw much at us we couldn’t handle.”

The proposal was in Iceland, at the Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon on a beach called “Diamond beach”. The beach gets its name from the chunks of ice that break off from the glacier and then wash ashore a black sand beach where they glisten like diamonds in contrast to the sand. It happened after a very long day of sightseeing and was a complete surprise…Linh’s first reaction was actually that I was messing with her. Due to the remote location, I planned to DIY the whole thing and would take the pictures myself with my GoPro/tripod and some luck. Fortunately, it all went pretty smoothly and I was able to find a really picturesque iceberg on the beach that was isolated from other people. The only hiccup was when a wave came and almost took us both out to sea while I was still on one knee – luckily we both got out of the way in time and she already had the ring securely on her finger!

The couple are in the final planning stages for their wedding. They are having a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony at Linh’s mom’s house.  The reception will be held at The Please Touch Museum in Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, PA. It is a bit non-traditional of a wedding venue and symbolizes the playfulness of the couple’s relationship.
