Album Story – Lacy-Tyler Ma Maison Engagement PhotosÂ
Tyler and Lacy is a storybook tale! With their classic style and sweet relationship, I knew right away they needed a story book setting so we chose the green cathedral at Ma Maison outside of Austin, Texas for their engagements. This beautiful structure (we think it looks like a bird cage) is a reclaimed antique french gazebo. It is surrounded by towering oaks and creates a beautiful setting.
The story of Tyler and Lacy begins much like any other two people not looking for love but crossing paths at just the right time. When Tyler and Lacy first met they were both dating other people, but as fate had it, those relationships were not meant to last forever.
Tyler and Lacy met each other through mutual friends, but both of them felt very strongly that the other was not their type!
As the years went by, Tyler and Lacy passed each other in the halls at church, exchanging casual hellos and thinking nothing more of it. Things continued on for a while until Tyler asked Lacy a simple question which turned into a long conversation.
At first, communication was sporadic, a text here and there as time permitted. But as time passed those texts turned into calls and those calls turned into deep conversations in the bed of Tyler’s truck outside of Lacy’s house at 4 am. Casually spending time together “as friends” turned into the one thing that Tyler and Lacy looked forward to every waking moment. By this time everyone but Tyler and Lacy saw the inevitable. It would be a few more months until Tyler worked up the nerve to ask lacy out on their first official date (which lacy had been waiting and hoping for)
After some time Tyler knew it was time to ask for her hand in marriage. One problem, Lacy’s father was a lieutenant firefighter with AFD and to Tyler that was very intimidating. Much to Tyler’s surprise, her dad gave his blessing! Tyler was overjoyed and bought a ring. 7 days later Lacy said yes and the couple is excited to celebrate in January and then off to Cancun!!

Client Questionnaire – Lacy-Tyler Ma Maison Engagement PhotosÂ
Q4: Give us all the details about the proposal. How and where did it happen? Was it a surprise? What was the planning process?
A4: After asking Lacy’s father for his blessing, I wasted no time in having a ring made. While I waited for the ring to be delivered, I worked on a rather elaborate proposal plan (which oddly enough didn’t end up being at all how I proposed.) When the ring finally arrived, I decided to scrap my elaborate plan in favor of something just slightly more intimate. It was Saturday September 7th, 2019 and it was still 100+ degrees in Austin Texas so Lacy and I took a trip to Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels. Unbeknownst to Lacy, I was planning to propose that evening when she least expected. We wrapped up our day and headed home to change clothes and get ready for dinner. I decided to take Lacy out for Mexican food, her favorite, while my family set up behind the scenes. Dinner was fantastic, we laughed and enjoyed each other’s company and some great food. When it was over, I suggested we take dessert to go. Lacy did not object and so we headed back to my house. I pretended that my garage door opener had stopped working and shrugged “guess we will have to go through the front door.” The entire time, I was convinced that Lacy would know something was up. She never suspected a thing as was apparent by the onslaught of joyful tears that filled her eyes when she opened the door to find a trail of hundreds of candles leading back to the living room where the room was decorated, champagne was poured, and a little black box waited to be opened. I got down on one knee and before hardly a word was out of my mouth Lacy had said yes to making me the luckiest man on earth.
Q6: Are you excited to start planning your wedding day? Do you have any ideas in mind yet?
A6: We are so excited!! We were engaged on September 7th and the wedding date was set for January 4. Â Just a short 4 months! We are having a summery theme despite it being the middle of winter. Our colors are dusty blue, yellow, and grey. Sunflowers will be centerpieces and we will have a dance floor framed by twinkling fairy light.
