Album Story – Kaci-Zach Chambers Bay Engagement Photos
I’m in love with Chambers Bay engagement sessions. There are SO many different looks you can get in one area. Then add in the cutest and most chill couple ever……………..magic. Which is exactly what Kaci and Zach brought. Bonus, Zach’s beard has extra magic. It’s probably how he caught Kaci ???? which is good because the non-stop baseball may have thrown her off…………..see what I did there?
I mean LOOK at these two cuties!!! I can’t even. Zach especially earns bonus points for putting up with me and every beard joke that I could possibly come up with. He is chill as a cucumber and steadfast. Kaci told me how he hit her up on Tinder a few times and since she had a free night she decided to give him a shot. This girl is a CATCH too……………ok last baseball joke for the next few sentences. You’re welcome.
Kaci is a nurse working in trauma with neurosurgeons (I think I got that right buuuuuuuttt all you need to know is this girl is legit). That is so hardcore. Not only is she a knock-out and has brains to back it up, she actually cares what is happening to her patients. Just hearing her talk about her work is addictive.
Kaci and Zach, I absolutely loved walking around with you two for this Chambers bay engagement session and hearing all about you! You can feel how well you guys were made for each other from the way you hold hands and every awkward in between. I’ve heard it said “The wedding is easy but the marriage is hard”, yet I think you guys have a home run on your hands. Thank you for being so amazingly awesome and I can’t wait to see what life has in store for you two!! Plus, I’m out of baseball puns………..so onto the cute pictures!

Client Questionnaire
Q1: Let’s start at the beginning. How did you two first meet?
A1: We met on Tinder. Zach is from Yakima, WA and had been pursuing a baseball career throughout college and after graduating. He ended up in Missouri playing for an independent professional league. He was a pitcher and after being in Missouri for a few short weeks, he spiral fractured his arm pitching and had to move home to heal. On the other hand, I graduated from WSU with a psychology degree, and after some soul-searching decided to pursue a nursing degree. I decided to go back to my alma mater, but a satellite campus they have, which happened to be in Yakima, WA. So Zach found himself at home with a bum arm, and I found myself in a new city with no friends – we both turned to Tinder for help. I was the the first and only person Zach met…however, I can’t say the same. I actually stopped messaging Zach back at first, as the conversation was not engaging me- it was baseball, baseball, baseball. A few days later, he messaged me again, and I took the bait, and fast forward to now, we have talked everyday since. The first time we met was at my apartment, and come to find out, his family thought he was crazy, meeting me in-person for the first time in such a private spot – we all know what they say about those dating apps! But we hit it off, and we both knew pretty quickly this was going to go somewhere.
Q4: Give us all the details about the proposal. How and where did it happen? Was it a surprise? What was the planning process?
A4: The proposal happened at Little Mashel Falls in Eatonville, WA. Zach and I had talked about doing this hike and taking our dog for a while but had just never got around to it. We had actually planned to complete the hike the week prior, however, being a night shift nurse can be hard on the sleep schedule, and I wouldn’t get out of bed! Oops! So the following weekend we decided to go and I had a sense something was coming! For someone who could care less about pictures being taken, Zach was talking the whole hike about how he hoped someone would be around to take our picture (the only other thing I asked for, aside from the ring). On the hike there are a couple of different falls, and we were having difficulty finding the largest one, however we did at the very end, and that’s when it happened! Zach went to ask a woman to take our photo, I sat on a rock in front of the waterfall with the skiddish dog, Zach came back over while reaching in his pocket, and the rest is history!
Q6: Are you excited to start planning your wedding day? Do you have any ideas in mind yet?
A6: Yes! Within the first month after getting engaged we had fallen in love with a venue, booked a DJ, bartender, and caterer, and we had asked our officiant. We actually won a free engagement session with Tia (which are the pictures submitted here), and I had our Save The Dates already drafted. It felt like all the major items were already checked off, and this wedding planning thing was easy. Fast forward to a few months down the road… we cancelled all of our wedding plans. Zach and I had always talked about a small wedding, something more intimate, and we had definitely gotten away from that. After talking it through, we decided to ditch everything we had planned and start over. We are now getting married at my parents home with a backyard ceremony, which is absolutely perfect for us!
