Per Just Like This Photography: “This shoot was particularly special to me as Nathaniel is my youngest son…”
From Just Like This Photography:
Emileigh and Nathaniel first met while attending North Murray High School, she was a freshmen and he was a sophomore. Nathaniel waited an entire week before talking to Emiliegh after he first saw her in the halls; then when he finally approached her, he asked her if she wanted to touch his silky workout shirt (lol) —he was so nervous and didn’t know what else to say! But I guess it worked because these two have been practically inseparable since…that was almost five years ago.
After graduation Nathaniel joined the Army National Guard and works in construction; Emileigh is a wonderful stay at home mom to their now two-year old son Nicholas. These two have such a strong connection that it is as if they are one! Their relationship is special because they constantly strive to make each other better. Emileigh encourages Nathaniel to be more patient and compassionate; while Nathaniel helps Emileigh to come out of her shell and be more sociable particularly in groups.
From their first kiss they were hooked and there was no turning back. These two knew that they were destined to be together and nothing could keep them apart…it was just a matter of when and how to purpose.
So after months of preparation and planning, Nathaniel first went to Emileigh’s parents to ask for their blessing to marry their daughter (a sign of a true gentleman), once receiving their blessing Nathaniel waited till her birthday and after spending a perfect day of relaxing and cuddling with each other Nathaniel surprised Emileigh by popping the question with a beautiful sterling silver ring with a square-cut center diamond surrounded by a number of small diamonds….and of course she said Y-E-S!
Be still my heart…aren’t they just the sweetest couple ever?
Their wedding date is set for October 13, 2018. The details are just falling into place for this couple’s glorious event. The beautiful fall ceremony and reception will take place in a rustic chic farmhouse next to a lake…how idyllic! Make no mistake these two are super excited about their wedding day and all the details, but they are more excited to spend the rest of their lives together!
It is more than obvious that this couple is head-over-heels in love with each other and that’s the kind of love that will last a lifetime!!
Q and A with the bride: Emileigh-Nathaniel Engagement
Let’s start at the beginning. How did you two first meet?
We met my freshmen and his sophomore year of high school! He waited about a week before talking to me after he first saw me. When he finally did talk to me, he asked me if I wanted to touch his silky workout shirt because he was so nervous and didn’t know what else to say!
What makes your relationship special? Tell us some things that you both value in your time together. (example: pushing each other to new limits, love to travel, huge comic book fans, foodies, etc.) What makes your relationship unique?
Our relationship is special because we make each other better all the time. I make him more patient and compassionate. He makes me come out of my shell and be more outgoing.
How did you know your partner was the one? When did you first know this in your relationship? (these may often be the same moment, but aren’t always)
I knew he was the one after our first kiss. I wasn’t expecting it and we were both so nervous. It was just absolutely perfect.
Give us all the details about the proposal. How and where did it happen? Was it a surprise? What was the planning process?
We were talking about getting married for a while because we both knew we couldn’t live without each other. He popped the question with very pretty expensive ring on my birthday. We had spent the day lounging around the house cuddled up together. It was perfect in its own way and it meant so much to me.
Are you excited to start planning your wedding day? Do you have any ideas in mind yet?
I am very excited! We are doing an October wedding on a farm next to a lake. Our colors are nude pink and plum.
